Job Overview:
The Sourcing Manager role will work closely with the Director of Global Sourcing to execute sourcing strategies and key initiatives to help achieve financial goals. The Sourcing Manager will provide a key assist to the Director of Global Sourcing in creating SOP’s, efficiencies and consistencies within the sourcing team while streamlining data and workflow related to development of new vendor and COO initiatives. A key success factor in this role will be the ability to manage multiple sourcing activities and provide on-time deliverables.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to produce positive results.
- Develop an intimate understanding of the business through data collection to help drive data-based decisions.
- Execute sourcing initiatives in support of the department priorities.
- Ability to provide innovative & strategic solutions to sourcing challenges such as tariffs and the ever-changing trade environment.
- Responsible for maintaining Supplier Matrix & Vendor Scorecards
- Plan sourcing initiatives as they relate to new product launches & launch calendars.
- Manage special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of working experience.
- Experience in Sourcing, Product Management or Operations in a Consumer Products wholesale/import environment.
- Experience in Project Management
- Accountability for assigned tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Takes initiative in solution finding.
- Highly skilled in planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong data analytics and reporting – familiarity using a PLM system or similar.
